Scholarship Fund Requirements

Our Mission

Three scholarships available to graduating seniors of Prestonsburg High School pursuing degrees or certifications in the areas of 4 year institutions, Allied Health, and Skilled Trade

Requirements

1. Graduating senior of Prestonsburg High School.

2. Provide a completed application by April 30th, 2025.

3. Be accepted and enrolled in a college/university/institution in one of the specified scholarship categories.

4. All recipients are required to submit a personal, type written testimonial stating the intended use of the scholarship award to the Scholarship Fund Committee prior to August 15th of the award year.

Scholarships Awarded

Scholarship winners will be announced the day before graduation each year.

1. ($1500) 4 year Institution Degree Scholarship

2. ($1500) Allied Heath Scholarship

3. ($1500) Skilled Trades Scholarship

How to Apply

Click the Red "Apply" Button – This will take you to the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky's Online Application Portal.
Create a New Account – If you do not already have an account, you will need to register.
Confirm Your Email – After creating your account, check your email for a confirmation link and verify your account.
Log In & Search – Once logged in, use the "Quick Search" bar to look up "Blackcats Alumni".
Select & Apply – Click on the Blackcats Alumni Scholarship when it appears, then click "Apply".
Complete the Application – Fill out the online form in its entirety, ensuring all required documents are uploaded.
Submit Your Application – Once you have reviewed your application, click "Submit Application" to finalize your submission.

Applications Due by April 30, 2025

Scholarship winners will be announced the day before graduation.
