In 2025, the Blackcats Alumni Scholarship Fund continued its mission of giving back to the next generation. What began as a shared vision among alumni has grown into something truly meaningful—an opportunity to invest in students who represent the spirit, determination, and legacy of the Blackcats.
Each scholarship awarded is more than financial support; it is a reminder that our community shows up for one another. It is a way to honor where we came from while helping shape where others are going. We are incredibly proud to continue this tradition and grateful to everyone who makes it possible through their generosity and support. 2024 Scholarship Winners
Inaugural Year
To celebrate our first year, the Blackcats Alumni Scholarship Fund has decided to increase the number of scholarships from three to five. The Coach Haywood Inspiration Scholarship is a new addition in recognition of Coach Haywood, who delivered a memorable speech at the 1978 Blackcats Reunion, inspiring the creation of the fund.
